Virtual Production Workshop - LUCA School of Arts/RITCS School of Arts

I had the pleasure of guiding a group of students from LUCA School of Arts and RITCS School of Arts along their first steps into LED Virtual Production workflows at AED Studios in collaboration with Virtual Innovation Partners.

We've taken the students from knowing little-to-nothing about this tech, to making their first shots in an LED Volume with camera tracking and Unreal Engine. Some of these students took a liking to the basics of Unreal, others found themselves making sense of the renderstream workflow in Disguise. All of them showed themselves as bright young people, immediately seeing the new possibility of the VP workflow and diving into a creative frenzy, making some really cool shots.

For some of these shots we're also thankful to CFMOTO for providing us with three motorcycles to be used during this shoot. The students started out the week by using 360 driving plates and making lots of fun motorcycle shots, while others prepped the Unreal world for the second half of the week.
